Participation and collaboration define this series of images taken in Kingston, Jamaica in exploration of the ethics of tourism photography and the right of publicity—or, personality rights (as the right to control access to and the commercial use of one's image) and a challenge to photographers to consider their responsibilities and individual privacy rights when producing professional photography for tourism. Additionally, questions of power dynamics between guests visiting former colonies and the subjects of these photographs was an aspect of conversation surrounding taking each photograph. Every person in this series was asked to be photographed following months of knowing the artist. Each person featured gave consent to be photographed and directed the conditions of the photograph. The contract was signed by each person included in the project and stipulates that any financial gain from sales of photographs or other related artworks will be evenly shared between photographer and the person photographed, in perpetuity .
